[Story] Seeking Love...

Journal Entry: Tue Feb 14, 2006, 8:35 AM

Quote of the moment : (the past quotes are here)

« Love is something that is new, fresh, alive. It has no yesterday and no tomorrow. It is only innocent mind which knows what love is, and the innocent mind can live in the world which is not innocent. To find this extraordinary thing is only possible when thought comes to understand itself and comes naturally to an end. »

THE LITTLE GIRL WHO THOUGHT THAT LOVE WOULD COME ONE DAY

« Once upon a time, was a little girl who, for a long time, carried in her heart the dream of a vast and beautiful love. She dreamt of a boy, later a man, an unknown to come to which, she would give her life, her body and her whole being.

The years passed and the beautiful love did not arrive. She sought it everywhere in vain, in every smile, every glance, every encounter. During years, she was sure that the love would come towards her, recognize her between anyone and would say to her: "Yes, it is you whom I sought, I came for you, for you only..."

And once big, the little girl, in order to resemble her friends and the other women, disavowed her beautiful dream and threw herself in the arms of an unknown that was just passing around. She did not know yet that she betrayed herself, because she didn't experience with him love, or pleasure, or even any possibility to dream her life.

Then one day, the relationship broke, she escaped to save a little of her life. For a very long time, her body kept the trace of this affair that was at the beginning common, then mediocre and finally sordid. She remained, since that time, closed to pleasure, and frightened by the possibility of a sharing.

Finally, quite a long time later, she discovered, deep inside her, this love that she had sought so hard outside. Yes, she met this love in her, as an extraordinary strength that pushed her towards a man that she was neither waiting, nor hoping for. He was here, without her even knowing it, he was just here, entire and present. He was here and she woke up or, rather, this love she was carrying inside woke up. Like a source, it fed each one of her gestures, brightened her words, and made possibilities she didn't even suspect grow. It was like an internal earthquake that shook her whole existence. She had waited and hoped so long for a single love coming from outside, and now she was discovering, astonished, amazed, that it had slept in her all the time. That she was carrying it in the mystery of her body, incredible, extraordinarily keen, unforeseeably surprising.

The man to whom she gave this unhoped-for love was so surprised, initially, that he doubted this insane feeling, so sudden. He was even a little afraid of it at the beginning. "I did not deserve it," he thought, "she must be mistaken and takes me for someone else." But it was surely him that she had chosen, only him.

The rest of this story, I cannot tell it because it happens sometimes that human love is increased, and so amplified by those who receive love that the story can become a legend. And I do not want to involve anyone in a dream that can not find its place in reality. Unless, by listening deep inside you, ... »

gack, pressed send too soon.

it has given me lots to rethink and reprocess and look at yet again and again.
I know what it feels like to be that person who sometimes wonders "Is it really me you're looking at? is it an ideal?"

Thank you.
